I am brimming with joy and pride. My days now begin at the crack of dawn, at 4 AM, filled with nurturing responsibilities. I’ve been lending a hand to a friend, caring for their 13-month-old son, and bottle-feeding two adorable kittens.
My journey towards physical wellness has taken an exciting turn. Despite months of absence, I’ve returned to the gym and am committed to regular workouts. In fact, I’ve managed to beat my personal best mile time post-surgery, clocking in at 13 minutes and 54 seconds. This is a significant stride towards reclaiming my pre-surgery record of 8 minutes and 45 seconds. I can feel my strength returning, one step at a time.
In other news, the bee hive that had taken up residence in my tack room has finally buzzed off! This means I can now access my saddles and gear, and start working with my horses that are ready for training.
Yesterday marked a turning point. The cloud of depression lifted, and I found myself deep cleaning parts of the house. This surge of energy also led me to start streaming on Twitch, a routine I’ve been maintaining almost every night.
My online presence is growing too, with my Snapchat followers nearing the 6,000 mark! My days are packed, and I’ve been sticking to my schedule of waking up at 4 AM and retiring at 9 PM. The reduced stress levels have even regulated my monthly cycle, which had been off-kilter for months.
My animals seem to sense this change. They’re more relaxed and seek out my affection more often. I suspect they were mistreated in my absence, but those days are behind us.
Among the kittens I’ve been bottle feeding, a tortoiseshell has won my heart. I’ve decided to keep her and named her Zella. Her vibrant personality shines through her love for cuddles and pets. She’s absolutely adorable! Her sister has already found a home, and we’re preparing her for the transition from formula to kitten food.
Sadly, we lost one of the kittens. Little Snowy wasn’t developed enough and passed away. We remember her fondly.
My younger chickens have started laying eggs, earning their keep on the farm.
So much is happening all at once, and it’s wonderful! It keeps me busy and helps me return to my cheerful, energetic self.
With lots of love,
Sammy XOXO
PS the only time my crazy side comes out is when someone lies to me and uses me as well as stolen from me. You know who you are. You can paint me to be the villain all you want but you and I both know the truth you coward.
