Exciting News: My Veterinary Journey, A Special Valentine’s Day & Lucy’s Incredible Transformation

Hey everyone! I have some amazing updates to share with you all!

My Journey as a Veterinary Assistant

I’m so excited to officially be working on my veterinary assistant courses! This journey has been both challenging and rewarding, but every step reaffirms that I’m on the right path.

Since I was young, I’ve always felt a deep connection to animals—especially those in need. Whether it was rescuing strays, helping injured wildlife, or fostering pets, I knew my calling was to make a real difference in their lives. Now, with these courses, I’m gaining the knowledge and skills to turn that passion into a career.

Even better? I’m incredibly close to reaching my goal of a 3.5 GPA—right now, I’m at 3.39! Graduating with honors has been a big goal of mine, and knowing I’m so close makes me even more determined to push forward. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!

A Valentine’s Day to Remember

This year’s Valentine’s Day was extra special. My boyfriend, Beau, and I had such a wonderful time celebrating together. We went to Kisho’s Japanese Restaurant in Valencia, an amazing hibachi spot where we enjoyed delicious food and a fun atmosphere. Watching the chef cook right in front of us was such a cool experience, and the flavors were absolutely incredible!

But the night didn’t stop there—Beau completely spoiled me! He surprised me with beautiful flowers, a bath body pillow, and even a bath tray so I can relax, read, and watch movies while soaking in the tub. He always knows how to make me feel special, and I couldn’t be more grateful for him! He even took me out to breakfast the next day after Valentine’s Day.

Lucy’s Incredible Transformation & Happy Ending

One of the biggest and most heartwarming highlights? Lucy’s happy ending!

If you’ve been following her journey, you know just how much she’s been through. Lucy’s story started in a puppy mill, where she lived in terrible conditions before being taken in by my ex-boyfriend’s grandma. After she passed away, my ex left Lucy with me, and I quickly realized she needed serious help.

When Lucy first came to me, she was dangerously obese—weighing nearly 50 pounds over a healthy weight. Because of this, she had already started developing arthritis in her lower back, according to our veterinarian. She could barely move without discomfort, and simple activities like walking or playing were a struggle for her.

Over the next 11 and a half months, I dedicated myself to helping her regain her health. Through a carefully planned diet and exercise routine, Lucy made an amazing transformation, losing 45 to 50 pounds! She became more active, playful, and full of life—something I wasn’t sure she would ever get to experience again.

And now, I’m beyond happy to share that Lucy has been officially adopted! Not only does she have a loving new family, but she also has a new rat terrier brother to keep her company! Congrats on their new addiction to their family, Justin and Cat!

Seeing her thrive in a home where she is truly cherished is the most rewarding feeling, and it reminds me why I do what I do.
