From Survival to Service — A Story of Transformation
Hi, I’m Sammy — founder of A Metamorphosis Addiction, a multi-creative business rooted in resilience, reinvention, and a relentless love for animals, people, and art.
This all began not just with creativity, but survival.
A few years ago, I nearly died due to serious medical complications. That experience shattered everything — physically, mentally, emotionally. But it also became my greatest wake-up call. I realized I was still here for a reason. I had a story to tell, a purpose to fulfill, and a fire in me that couldn’t be ignored.
About A Metamorphosis Addiction
Born from grief, passion, and the will to rebuild, A Metamorphosis Addiction is a deeply personal journey made public. Founder Sammy White created this space after experiencing life-changing loss, trauma, and healing. What began as a creative outlet became a mission: to transform pain into purpose and inspire others to do the same.
Why “A Metamorphosis Addiction”? Because healing is never linear. It’s a cycle of rebirth — like a butterfly shedding the old to make way for the new. This brand is for anyone who’s ever had to start over, love harder, or find the light in the dark.
A Personal Note from Sammy: “As someone who’s survived loss, endometriosis, PCOS, resuscitation twice, and a psychotic break, I know the road to recovery is anything but easy. I created this platform to honor those who didn’t make it and uplift those still trying. I’m especially passionate about advocating for teen mental health — because our youth are hurting, and they need safe places to land.”

A Lifetime of Preparation
Growing up, I was always drawn to events, photography, animals, and storytelling — because it was in my blood.
My mom, a former civilian officer for the LAPD, was a powerhouse of planning and public service. She organized major campaigns in the ’90s like the Don’t Shoot on New Year’s campaign and even helped coordinate the Lakers Parade. Watching her taught me early how events can bring people together and impact communities.
But my drive to challenge myself started even earlier. In third grade, I began competing in science fairs through my school’s after-school program. By fifth grade, that persistence paid off when my partners and I won at the Los Angeles Unified School District Championship Science Fair, held at the California Science Center. That win earned us an all-expense-paid trip to U.S. Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama, where we underwent three days of astronaut training. Later, the City of Los Angeles honored me for this achievement — a recognition that instilled in me the power of hard work, teamwork, and vision.
At just 19 years old, I carried that same determination into an internship with Kristeen LaBrot Events, a four-time award-winning wedding planning company — and that hands-on training lit the spark that grew into a full-fledged event and wedding planning service of my own.
What began as fundraisers to help animal rescues evolved into coordinated weddings, social events, and custom celebrations designed with intention, healing, and love.
A Creative Life by Nature
Even before all that, I was a little kid with a camera, a laptop, and a passion for visual storytelling.
I began photography, videography, graphic design, and photo editing when I was just eight years old, and have been growing ever since — offering high-end shoots from boudoir to birth, pets to portraits, and branding to bridal.
My epoxy resin work, custom jewelry, and art pieces are all self-taught. What started as a healing hobby has become part of the heart behind my business — unique gifts and creations that carry meaning and soul.
I also personally own and maintain all my event rentals, including my photo booth, portrait lounge, large movie screen, speaker system, and more — constantly investing in upgrades to deliver something unforgettable to every client.
Ranch Life & Rescue Work
These days, I live on a ranch I lease with my mother, where we care for:
- 🐴 6 horses
- 🐓 15 chickens
- 🦆 7 ducks
- 🦤 1 Guinea
- 🦃 1 pet turkey
- 🐶 4 dogs
- 🐱 6 Cats
I’m currently studying to become a Veterinary Technician and Equine Rehabilitation Nurse, with the dream of launching my nonprofit, Equine Lifeline Foundation — a rescue and rehab haven for animals, with an outpatient mental health center in honor of my fiancé, who was tragically taken from me due to fentanyl poisoning. His death fuels my mission to create a safe place for healing, for both humans and animals alike.
I also support and collaborate with beloved rescues like:
- Josh and His Critters
- Hank’s Legacy Foundation
- Cornerstone Companions
- A Pig’s Garden
…and I’m always looking to foster, promote, fundraise, or assist with social media marketing for more.
What Others Say
“Samantha was a great wedding planner! She provided a detailed checklist that made organizing everything for our big day so easy. She and her assistant made sure our wedding ran smoothly from setup to vendor coordination and everything in between. I highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding — especially if you’re not sure where to start!”

“I used Sam’s photo lounge and day-of coordinator services for my wedding and it turned out great. Everyone just loved the photo lounge idea rather than a photo booth. I set up furniture and she used her high tech equipment to round it up. It was superb.
As for coordinator service, Sam was the greatest. I planned my wedding, but she helped with the little details that I never thought of. She also helped out with reaching out to my vendors. Since she was my point of contact for the wedding, she had introduced herself to them so nothing goes amiss. She helped me set up the venue, too. Great services with unbeatable rates, I highly recommend. Sam is also a very nice lady that you can easily chat with.”
